MasterChef Australia has crowned a 2023 winner with returning contestant Brent Draper.

40 year old SA Prison Officer Brent Draper has taken out 2023 MasterChef Australia title.
Draper was announced the winner of the cooking competition during the grand finale on Sunday night. He beat out fellow contestants Ben Borsht and Khanh Ong to claim the prize.
Draper said he was "overwhelmed" to have won MasterChef Australia.
"I can't believe I've won," he said. "This is a dream come true."
Draper is the third returning contestant to win MasterChef Australia, following in the footsteps of Emelia Jackson and Julie Goodwin.
He said he was glad to have had the opportunity to return to the competition. "I've learnt so much this time around," he said.
Draper plans to use his prize money to open a restaurant.
The grand finale of MasterChef Australia was watched by an average of 1.5 million viewers.
